Spain Entry Requirements

Different countries have different requirements of paperwork for those who want to travel their piece of land, so does the Spain has. You have to be through with your health clearances, passport and visa permits in order to find entry in Spain. For staying in Spain for an extended period of time, other requirements also need to be fulfilled. Whether you purpose of travelling Spain is holiday, business or an extended stay, you must take the following steps carefully.

Identification cards and passport

For entering into Spain, you must possess a passport that has your address and photograph. If you are a member of European Union or you belong to countries amongst the Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Lichtenstein an ID card will also do. For those who are less than 16 years of age and traveling with parents can be listed on the passport or identification card or their parents. In case the child is traveling alone, an authorization from legal guardian or parents is a must.

Visa

In Spain, you require a visa if the period of your state is intended to be more than three months. In case you're coming from some other country other than your home country, you should have applied a visa from your current residence. The paperwork should be complete and must include the documents of residence proof and the reason of your visit to Spain. If you are traveling to Spain for some job, you must possess a third party invitation. In case you do not have a third party invitation, a confirmation of return flight may also help.

Vaccines

Though there are no specific vaccinations that you must get done before traveling to Spain, as a precautionary measure you can get the basic vaccines done. Spain is a tropical country; you may always get the communicable diseases. You can get yourself protected from mosquito bites and other insects. Also get tetanus shots before you travel to Spain so that some injury does not lead to severe problems.

Medical Exams

In case you're planning to stay in Spain for a period of three months or more, it is recommended that you get a full health checkup done from a certified physician. The physical examination should ensure that you do not have any disease that is listed on WHO international health regulations. The people have diseases that are listed on WHO international health regulations can be quarantined at the airport.
